Eames at the Barbican
This is a very quick blog, written on the train back from London, after we have been to see the Eames exhibition at The Barbican; and what a wonderful exhibition it was.
Charles Eames, and his wife, Ray were among the most influential designers of the 20th Century – known most widely for their furniture designs. What this exhibition showed was how incredibly broad their talents and interests were – photography, architecture, film, product design and more.
Their lives were a wonderful example of the joys of boundless creativity that accepted no boundaries. The exhibition brings together letters, drawing and models, as well as examples of many of their iconic designs – it provides a wonderful insight into the extraordinary lives of the Eameses.
There is still some time to get along to the Barbican. The exhibition finishes on 14th February. Click here for more information from The Barbican.
